So so shocked by his performances

He can hardly beat a man and simply goes backwards or loses the ball

Really worrying times, he needs his fire back, start attacking full backs as we will need him find his form when Mo goes

Not good enough. Don't know if it's the injury or the stuff with his dad, but he's a shell of himself. When we pass it out wide he immediately slows the game down and tries to go one on one.

And he has people in his ear talking him going to RM. How bout playing well for your current team?

I genuinely thought that goal against Brazil would give hom the boost to reach the next level, but doesn't seem to be the case.

And his dad is talking about his dream is to play for RM. He couldn't play for the RM U18s atm.

If he doesn't improve drastically second half of the season we'll sell him in the Summer bring in Mitoma perhaps.

Any idea why he looked like he was crying on the bench?

Really good today. When his confidence is up and he is taking people on, he's a handful. Caused Newcastle no end of problems, pipped Mo to motm for me.

Same here mate. But Jota and Gakpo did the business.

He needs to start being consistent. He needs to deliver goals and assists and affect games .... most weeks. That's the standard needed for this club and the standard needed to challenge city.

Aye and these lads know they need to step up while Mo is away. Make sure that we are in the same place when he gets back as when he departed

Feel like the pair of them could fall into a barrell of tits and come out sucking their thumb. If its poor finishing, bad luck, poor movement you name it these 2 will find a way.

This lad can even score perfectly legit goals and the VAR will contrive to get confused and disallow it.

But one way or another Darwin and Diaz find ways to not score goals over quite a large sample size now.

Looked back to his best last night. Not been in this thread for a while and have scanned the last few pages. Some pretty brutal posts in here. He’s come back from a serious long term injury and then went through an experience that none of us can properly comprehend. It’s no major surprise to see him struggle for form. We know he’s a quality player and I’m sure he’ll fin his best form again. He will never be a prolific goal scorer but he is one of the few players in the squad who can take players on and create from nothing. We need him firing on all cylinders whilst Mo is away.

I'd like to see Lucho operating down the right while Mo is away. He's got pace and we saw tonight he's got a sweet right foot.

Maybe Jota in the middle and Nunez left.

He wad full of running tonight, especially 2nd half. He was a threat. Final ball/finish needs to improve. Needs to be more consistent. Hopefully he can go on a purple patch of form now and keep producing goals and assists and performances like the 2nd half tonight.

Yep. He got scapegoated since the ManU game for some reason, despite the fact he's actually been playing alright (including in that game).

Luis certainly took his goal well, to finally see off the Arse'. Never seems to give up, rewarded with a well deserved goal, to my mind.

Thought he was very ineffective for most of the game.

Not been his best recently but you can’t deny he’s got that South American fire in his belly… like someone said, doesn’t stop and he’s been rewarded today for it.

Liked him out on the right, think we might see a three of Nunez Jota Diaz in the next game starting.

100%. Nunez would be a lot more effective on the left, he appears to not have what it takes in the middle. Keep him in the middle though, it’s the only time I can laugh when he misses so may in the middle of the park.  😆
