We went into last season with 5 forwards and we all saw how much game time they all got, Jota was injured for a month here and there, Salah was away at AFCON and then injured for a month. Diaz was away for a few weeks with his personal problems.
If Fabio stayed he wouldn't see as much game time as the seniors but he'd still get similar to what he had in his first season here, maybe more if he impresses in his early appearances.
He may very well get the nod to start at Ipswich given the late arrivals, what if he bagged a brace in that game, kept his place on merit and never looked back? He just needs to take his chances to impress when they come, that will tell us if he's good enough to hang around.
