They'll flog him Monday sadly. If it's not right ... I'd hope Mo will tell them that. But ultimately I trust Mo. I understand he will want to play.

I would think the club have been in touch with him today and in touch with their medical team. They're going to get through arnt they so I don't see the point in risking Mo on Monday and bringing on a situation that not only rules him out of the tournament but out of a good chunk of our run-in and derail his season.

Hopefully, logic prevails. I trust Mo too but he wants to win it :/

He is smiling, perhaps coming off before any serious damage was done has done the trick.

Mo Salah is very very proud of playing and captaining his country and it would be great if he is fit to help them win

He will only play if he thinks he is ok to play

If it was last season, we were not competing for anything, he would have thought twice about it but we're competing on all fronts.

He's four caps away from a 100 and thirteen goals shy of becoming their all-time leading goalscorer.

That's two records he'll be looking to tick off so I can see him doing everything he can to play.

Yup. I'm afraid I'm not as confident as many here. There's no question Mo would play through pain for his country. I fear his heart will decide, not his head.

Just curious, do national teams bear any financial liability to the club team if a star club player - e.g. Salah- injures himself during national play?

Are there insurance plans that cover catastrophic/long term injury for national team players or is the financial risk 100% on the club teams who pay their guaranteed salaries.

If yes, who pays the insurance premiums; player, national team, club team, combination ?

Dose it matter who pays if we loose Salah for a long period

Excellent gets a rest and isn’t too injured

And for those who say it’s disrespecting to the cup for people to react like this

It’s disrespectful they put the cup at a time to impact national leagues who pay the wages and all costs. They’re being difficult for the sake of it (the organisers and media supporters of it)

Hopefully Egypt lose the next game and Salah comes back for the Arsenal game

Hopefully they get knocked out now, and he can come home to recover.

They need a win to be sure of going thru.

or a draw and other results to go their way to get thru.
